How to play baccarat-for beginners

If you're looking for a less complicated, James Bond-style gambling experience, Baccarat is the way to go. As a player, you only have to predict three outcomes: a player wins, a Banker win, and a draw, the dealer will do most of the work for you.

Baccarat 101

The dealer deals cards face up and deal two cards each to the player and the banker, and the hand closest to the nine wins; if you bet on the player's hand that is closest to the nine, you simply double your hand and the player who doubles his hand wins.

If you bet on the banker's hand and win, you will be paid 95% of your bet. If the card dealt is greater than 9, you must add 2 and drop 1 (or 2) to get the value.

For example, with a hand of 9 and 7, the value in the game would be 16, and if you drop the first digit, the value in the game would be 6.

Here are the rules for winning the game of baccarat:

If either the player or the banker is dealt a total of 8 or 9, both the player and the banker will stand.

If a player has a total of 5 cards or less, another card is dealt. If not, the player stands.

If a player is in the stands, the bunker is hit no more than five times in total. The last betting option, the draw, pays out at 8 to 1. Conveniently, there is also a hand at the table where you can track your score.
